Level 2/3, Father's Day & baby news!

Hello to the J’aime les macaron family!

We’re thinking of everyone in the Auckland region and hope that throughout the country everyone is staying safe and looking after each other.

To introduce myself – I am Olivia Burtt, the new General Manager here at J’aime les macarons. I’ve recently joined to support the brilliant team while Bridget is out of the business on maternity leave. And to update everyone with some very exciting news the team has gown by one very important person with Bridget welcoming a very cute little lady earlier this month. Both are doing really well and we can’t wait to meet Florence in person...and put her to work in the kitchen (we are approaching our busy period after all!).

This week we also send Millie, our Business Development Manager, off on maternity leave with our very best wishes. While out if the business I will be working with our wholesale and corporate clients and Courteney (our Retail Manager based at Merivale Mall) will be supporting our wedding clients.

And while remember Father's Day is just around the corner and we have just released our limited edition Whiskey & Chocolate macarons - available only in the lead up to Dad's big day on Sunday September 6th so get online and place an order for macarons, tea, brittle or shortbread...it will make his day!

While the country is in Level 2 & 3 respectively, here are some key details to keep you informed about our products and operations.

  • Our kitchen, retail and operations teams are working hard to ensure all necessary practices and procedures are in place to function safely and we continue to follow government updates and recommendations.
  • Our production kitchen in Christchurch remains fully operational and we continue to supply our New World stockists as well as direct to customers nationwide via our online store.
  • While at level 2 our Merivale Mall retail shop is also open along with the rest of the centre.
  • Our courier partner, Post Haste, continues to deliver direct to your door however with increased demand there may be occasional delays to their normal schedules.

And as always small businesses around the country need, and sincerely appreciate, your support. In our minds, nothing says ‘support’ like some sweet treats in the mail so if there is a celebration (like Father’s Day on September 6th), a thank you, ‘thinking of you’ or ‘I need some Black Doris Plum macarons in my life ASAP’ the incredible team of 12 would be delighted to make that happen.

Take care

Olivia & all the JLM Team
